About NAPS

What it means?

Since 1961, the National Association of Personnel Services has been certifying recruiting and staffing professionals nationally. Today, there are more than 10,000 professionals designated as Certified Personnel Consultants (CPC) or Certified Temporary-Staffing Specialists (CTS). Over 300 professionals are dually certified, a trend that continues to grow as the market and demand dictates more blended capabilities. NAPS also has available the first staffing specialty certification designation, the Physician Recruiting Consultant (PRC).

Why continuing education?

It's very important that certified staffing professionals stay current with legal, business and related practices. In 1995, NAPS initiated mandatory continuing education for CPCs and CTSs. You must take part in 50 contact hours of professional development or training experiences in each three (3) year period after certification. Visit the various links on this Web site to learn more about this continuing education and how to meet this requirement.

Those certified professionals who do not meet the continuing education requirement every three years will have the certification rights revoked until the credits are achieved.

As a condition of membership in the National Association of Personnel Services, (NAPS), we pledge our support of, and adherence to, the principles that have guided all NAPS members during its 47-year history. Our affiliation with the NAPS allows us to illustrate our high regard for our profession while permitting us to prove that we conduct business with integrity and competence.
