Although speech language pathologist Javier P., M.A. CCC-SLP, has been with 360 Healthcare Staffing just a short time, he is already making a lasting impression. Working closely with physical and occupational therapists, he addresses patient needs such as safety awareness, command following, improved judgment and reasoning skills so they may maximize their independence in the SNF setting.

Javier also works closely with dietary managers, dieticians and nursing staff to provide education and in-services regarding safety and management of dysphagia patients.

Javier knows that trust is essential in developing relationships with patients. “All of us in healthcare realize that you must establish a healthy and trustworthy relationship with your patients and their families/caregivers,” says Javier. “Doing so helps the patient maximize his or her potential with every therapy session.” Javier says forging such a trusting relationship has helped make a difference in many of his patients’ conditions.
