Flexibility and a desire to motivate others are important when working with therapy patients who have different outcome goals and personalities. Occupational therapist Amanda C., and 360 Healthcare Staffing’s May traveler of the month, has plenty of both! Her peers praise her flexibility, attention to detail, and commitment to go above and beyond when helping patients.

Treating patients who are missing their families and home can be difficult, but Amanda understands how important it is to encourage them throughout the therapy process. “A patient who is away from their family, friends and home is not always excited about coming to therapy,” says Amanda. “My goal is to motivate them so they want to come to therapy every day, and not think of it as just something they have to do. Turning therapy into the bright part of their day means a lot, not only because it cheers them up, but also because it means they are headed toward recovery and increased independence.”

Amanda enjoys the travel opportunities working for 360 Healthcare provides. “I enjoy visiting different states and cities,” Amanda says. “My travel position allows me the opportunity to see new places and work with fellow therapists I would not otherwise meet. I appreciate the fact that each new assignment allows me to represent the best about 360 Healthcare Staffing and myself as a therapist.”
