Travelers of the Month

Faith S.
Interim Executive Director
Traveler of the Month—May 2012
Faith S. is a travel enthusiast who loves to be on the road with
her husband JD. She says she enjoys bringing her experience and
expertise to her assignments with 360 Healthcare Staffing.
“This is a career that combines my passion for travel with my love
of my profession. I enjoy the contact with my residents and
families, and being able to see a building grow and progress, to
see everyone thrive,” she says. “I enjoy using my knowledge to
affect change, from putting fresh flowers on the dining room tables
to spending valuable time with families—it is so rewarding to hear
from staff and residents how much things have changed in my time
there.”
Since joining 360 in 2008, Faith has traveled with her husband to
many parts of the United States, including Wisconsin, Virginia,
North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Kansas. She said that in every
assignment, she meets at least one resident who pulls her
heartstrings.
“Where I’m at now, there’s an older gentleman who used to be in the
Chinese army,” she says. “He comes into my office every day to eat
a peanut butter cup and take a nap on my couch. He speaks little
English, but does well with hand gestures. He always bows to me
when he leaves my office and I return the bow. He shares many
smiles with me and those linger in my heart.”
To Faith, the key drivers for providing excellent service to
patients, residents and co-workers involves listening, compassion,
integrity, honesty, treating others with dignity and being
trustworthy.
“I believe in providing education to the staff and walking along
side them as they do their jobs,” she says. “I emphasize that I
will never ask them to do anything that I would not do myself.”
That willingness to go the extra mile is what makes Faith our
traveler of the month for May. Congratulations!
