Travelers of the Month

Martha R.
Nurse
Traveler of the Month - May 2011
It is often said that nurses are the heart of healthcare. When
you meet Martha R., RN and 360 Healthcare’s nursing/leadership
traveler of the month, you see it for yourself. With five years of
service to 360 Healthcare, Martha has embraced opportunities to
further her role so that she can have more of an impact as both a
mentor to other nurses and a caregiver to patients.
Currently serving as an MDS coordinator, Martha believes that
the key to providing excellent care to patients comes from being
dependable and consistent in delivering service. It’s a belief she
shares with others in her profession. “I mentored with a LPN who
was motivated to become an RN,” says Martha. “It was wonderful to
see her grow in our profession and touching to feel that my
encouragement and support helped her.”
Working with fellow nurses from across the country is one of the
benefits Martha enjoys about her career as a 360 Healthcare
traveler. “Travel is fun when you have a wonderful support network
to meet any needs that rise,” Martha says. “I have been fortunate
to travel from Michigan to Georgia, and I’ve had the opportunity to
see and do a variety of things – like bike riding on Georgia’s St.
Simon’s Island, and exploring the walking trails of Missouri and
Tennessee. Most of all, I’ve met some great people who have become
new friends and even when I finish my assignment, I keep in touch
with them. I send out many a “Hey y’all!” through Facebook!”
